XBRL

XBRL is the Extensible Business Reporting Language.  This specification was developed by XBRL.org at http://www.xbrl.org.  The goal of  XBRL is "to provide an XML-based framework that the global business information supply chain will use to create, exchange, and analyze financial reporting information including, but not limited to, regulatory filings such as annual and quarterly financial statements, general ledger information, and audit schedules. XBRL is freely licensed and was designed to facilitate the automatic exchange and reliable extraction of financial information among various software applications anywhere in the world."

XBLR was developed by XBML.org, an international group developing an XML-based framework for the reporting of business information.  Members of the steering committee include Deloitte & Touche, LLP; Dow Jones & Company, Inc.; Institute of Management Accountants; International Accounting Standards Committee; J.P. Morgan & Co. Inc.; Japan Digital Disclosure Inc.; KPMG, LLP; KPMG Consulting; Lawson Software; Microsoft Corporation;Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and many more.
