PROSE-XML

PROSE-XML, formerly   XPP (XML for Printers and Publishers) is an IDEAlliance standards initiative.  PROSE-XML is an update to PROSE, the industry-standard print/production communication language.

The most significant two features of PROSE-XML are (1) table names that are embedded to allow for easy identification as to where an element belongs, and (2) pointer elements that are embedded to allow for simple transportability between PROSE-XML and legacy RDB environments.
