About IDEAlliance > Organization
IDEAlliance, founded as The Graphic Communications
Association in 1966, was formed to help member companies apply
the latest computer-related technologies to all forms of print
and electronic publishing.
From 14 founding firms, IDEAlliance has grown to a worldwide
organization with over 200 member companies and a following
of thousands of individuals who participate in our training
programs, conferences, standards development committees, and
communities of practice.
As an IDEAlliance member, you become part of a community
with a common business focus. IDEAlliance programs and activities
enable its members to strengthen their staff skills, participate
in the development of standards, influence the development
of tools and technologies, develop strategies and partnerships
to deploy technology solutions, and position themselves as
industry leaders.
