CMP Courses

The CMP certification program begins with an extensive course on “Color Management Fundamentals” where you can achieve certification as a "Color Management Professional." This is followed by additional instructional courses to seek "Expert" certification in many specialty areas within a graphic communication production environment.

The complete CMP series of color management education and certification includes:

CMP - Fundamentals: A 17-part, six-hour course that teaches principles of color management. Successful completion of the Color Management Fundamentals exam results in Certification as a CMP, listing on the IPA Web site, and special CMP-only opportunities and offers. Approximately 6 Hours of Video Education
CMP - Printing: This is a six-part course designed for press operators as an easy to understand instructional guide to basic color management principles in the pressroom. Applying the the principles of the CMP-Print program will assure a consistent color managed workflow that adheres to industry specifications and standards. Approximately 3 Hours of Video Education
CMP - Premedia: This is  an eight-part course that teaches advanced Color Management concepts specific to Premedia workflows. Successful completion of the Premedia Expert exam results in Certification as a CMP Premedia Expert, with a premium listing on the Website, and special CMP-only opportunities and offers. Approximately 3 Hours of Video Education
CMP– Photography: This is a six-part course that teaches advanced Color Management concepts specific to Digital Photo workflows. Successful completion of the Photo Expert exam results in Certification as a CMP Photo Expert, with a premium listing on the Web site, and special CMP-only opportunities and offers Approximately 2.0 Hours of Video Education
