These educational objectives describe the end result of learning taking place during the G7 Process Control program.Part I: Color Theory1. The student will demonstrate an understanding of the LAB Color by defining the components of L, A, and B and correctly identifying the meaning of LAB values in a multiple-choice test. 2. The student will demonstrate an understanding of the RGB Color by defining the components of R, G, and B and correctly identifying the meaning of RGB system values in a multiple choice test. 3. The student will demonstrate an understanding of the CMYK Color by defining the components of C, M, Y and K. The student will correctly identify methods of converting from LAB and RGB color spaces to CMYK. 4. The student will demonstrate an understanding of the K channel, and identify results of increasing the black channel through methods such as GCR. 5. The student will demonstrate an understanding of additive color by correctly selecting a description of additive color from among multiple choices. 6. The student will demonstrate an understanding of subtractive color by correctly selecting a description of additive color from among multiple choices. The color theory section will be based on content already present in the CMP program, and on-line testing and learning functions will be adapted from the existing program. Part II: G7 Theory1. The student will demonstrate an understanding of G7 by selecting the correct definition from multiple-choice questions. 2. The student will demonstrate an understanding of NPDC by selecting the correct definition from multiple-choice questions. 3. The student will demonstrate an understanding of KPDC by selecting the correct definition from multiple-choice questions. 4. The student will demonstrate an understanding of G7 by correctly identifying five scenarios in which G7 provides benefits to the user. 5. The student will demonstrate and understanding of G7 by correctly identifying three scenarios which G7 will not improve or fix print quality. Part III: Applying CIELAB & G7 Color Metrics1. The student will demonstrate a practical understanding of LAB in the pressroom by correct selection the answers to questions about color correction on press via LAB exercises. 2. The student will demonstrate a practical understanding of LAB in the pressroom by correctly selection the answers to questions about ink targeting on press via LAB exercises. |
