This G7 Training will include a blend of lab instruction and lecture where you will learn how to apply the G7 method to achieve the highest quality color output on both offset and digital presses. The G7 Training is a theory based program and can be applied to any print process.
Demonstrated on Digital Devices
The G7 Methodology will be demonstrated across various digital output devices, that may include: Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C8000, Océ Arizona 360 GT Wide Format Inkjet Flatbed Printer, Ricoh Pro C901, Xerox iGen3, Command Workstation with EFI Fiery RIP, CREO Color Server, Onyx Production House, Kodak/Epson Stylus Pro 9800, Komori Lithrone SX29 sheetfed offset press, Heidelberg Speedmaster 102 40-in. sheetfed offset press, Kodak Trendsetter 800 Quantum Platesetter, Agfa Apogee, Heidelberg Prinect, and Kodak Prinergy.

Monday - Wednesday, 8:30am - 5pm
Laptops are welcome but not necessary. Please bring a flash drive.
G7 Certified Systems will be demonstrated during the training course, a list of these systems can be found HERE. IDEAlliance does not endorse any one system. A method of calibrating G7 by hand (The Fan Graph Method) is reviewed during the training course and all materials related to this calibration are available free of charge and are part of the course handouts.
Description
A G7 Expert is an expert in the field of color management, process and quality control for proofing and printing equipment. A G7 Expert is able to analyze color and print related issues and take corrective action to bring systems and processes in control to a set method, standard or specification with repeatable predictable results. Certification is valid for 2 years. G7 Experts must remain employed with an IDEAlliance Member Company to maintain their G7 Expert status.
A G7 Professional is generally an in-house quality/technical professional. Certification is valid for 2 years. A G7 Professional must be employed by an IDEAlliance Network Company or an IDEAlliance Member Company to maintain their G7 Professional status.

Optional Prerequisite
Test your knowledge! To ensure that you are adequately prepared for the upcoming G7 Training course, IDEAlliance is making its online Color Management Professional (CMP) Fundamentals Course available at no cost to all registered attendees.
The CMP Fundamentals Course is a series of 17 online video lessons encompassing approximately six hours of education covering the fundamental principles of color management. Successful completion of the CMP Fundamentals Course will certify you as a Color Management Professional, with listing in the online directory of CMPs.
We strongly recommend that you complete this course prior to the G7 Training.
Cancelation Policy
Cancel 21 days or more prior to event start date for a 100% refund.
Cancel within 21 days of event start date for a partial refund of 50% of the registration fee.
No refunds or transfers for no-shows or cancellations within 10 days of event start date.
Cancel and transfer to another event one time within 12 months of the initial registration date, no fee.
Additionally, if the CMP Fundamentals course has been accessed it must be paid for in full to complete and receive certification.
Events may be canceled by IDEAlliance at anytime, in this case a full refund or transfer to another event is offered.

From PA Turnpike
1. Take PA Turnpike to Exit 3 (Cranberry, junction with I-79 South).
2. Take I-79 South to Exit 66.
3. At the end of the ramp, take left, follow signs for 79 North Industrial Park (1/4 mile).
4. Make right on Deer Run Road. Printing Industries of America is the first building on the right side of the road.
From I-79 (heading south to Pittsburgh/Washington)
1. Take I-79 South to Exit 66.
2. At the end of the ramp, take left, follow signs for 79 North Industrial Park (1/4 mile).
3. Make right on Deer Run Road. Printing Industries of America is the first building on the right side of the road.
From I-79 (heading north to Pittsburgh/Erie)
1. Take I-79 North to Exit 66.
2. Use Glenfield Avenue ramp, bear left. Turn left onto Deer Run Road.
3. You will see sign "79 North Industrial Park." Printing Industries of America is first building on right side of road.
From Pittsburgh International Airport
1. As you exit the Airport, move to far right lane. (DO NOT follow signs "To Pittsburgh.") Take exit ramp toward "Moon/Beaver" (60 North). From 60N, take Exit 8 (Business 60/Flaugherty Run Rd.). Go straight 50 yards after Stop sign, then turn right onto Business 60.
2. Go three lights, turn left onto Beers School Road (business district). Turn left onto Sewickley Bridge. At end of bridge, turn right onto Rt. 65 South.
3. Follow Rt. 65 S to junction of I-79, take left exit toward "79 North." At bottom of second ramp, turn left onto Glenfield Rd., then make left onto Deer Run Road, up hill, into 79 North Industrial Park. Printing Industries of America is first building on the right side of road.
