XMP Custom Panels

(XMP) is a labeling technology that allows photographers an easy way to embed metadata into the image using Adobe Photoshop CS. While Adobe provides a entry interface for standard Photoshop metadata fields, XMP also provides a mechanism to embed standard metadata fields such as those defined by the DISC Working Group. To enable the capability of embedding DISC metadata fields, a "custom panel" or user interface is required. That development has just been completed by IDEAlliance staff working closely with technical staff from Adobe.
In this screen capture, each field of the DISC Metadata specification is implemented as a custom DISC metadata entry panel. Metadata entered using the DISC panel will be exported using the DISC / Photoshop CS metadata mapping provided in Appendix C of the Draft DISC Image Submission Metadata Specification.
