Specification

G7 Logo Web

In 2007 the G7 Specification was published by the GRACoL Working Group.  Since that time, oversight for the ongoing development of the Specification was transferred to the IDEAlliance Print Properties and Colormetrics Working Group and the Documentation Set for G7 has been separated into two parts:

  • G7 Specification
  • G7 Calibration "How to"

The G7 Specification defines the colorimetric principles and target values for gray balance and the neutral tone curve. It also defines a multi-tier approach to G7 compliance.

The G7 How-To defines the G7 calibration method for proofers and a variety of printing systems.
