Adds New Conferences Reflecting Industry

FOSTER CITY, CA 7/2/02 - Seybold
Seminars, a division of Key3Media Group,
Inc. (NYSE:KME), announced it will offer
four new educational conferences at
Seybold San Francisco 2002. The conference
and exhibition convenes September 9-12,
2002 at the Moscone Center, San Francisco,
CA.
"We've
seen a profound change in the graphics
and publishing marketplace the past
few years," said Gene Gable, president
of Seybold Seminars and Publications.
"The emphasis has shifted away from
desk-top tools and squarely on to workgroup
products, content management systems,
rights management, customized publishing
and other more complex issues. Our program
this year will help creative, technical,
marketing and service professionals
address the benefits and challenges
that are inherent in today's all-digital,
all-networked production workflows."
The
new conferences are:
- Enterprise
Publishing Conference: September
9-11. This conference concentrates
on the business needs that drive,
and the technologies that enable all
organizations to communicate more
effectively. Everyone from content
contributors to IT who are involved
in the publishing process will be
able to address their organization's
needs and requirements and bring workable
solutions back to their business.
- Gilbane
Conference on Content Management:
September 11-12. This conference is
the first of its kind and is focused
on three areas of content management:
integration, organization, and communication.
Three tracks will be available to
help managers of content management
systems, corporate content strategies,
and IT infrastructure strategies all
understand what content management
technologies can do and how to evaluate
the hundreds of new products and technologies
available for managing and integrating
enterprise content.
- IDEAlliance
Conference on XML Publishing:
September 9-10. XML for Publishers
features leading publishers and tool
providers that focus on how XML and
related standards are changing the
landscape of publishing. The conference
will help developers discern and employ
emerging technology standards as well
as evaluate what new business models
can be enabled by XML and what role
XML can play in automating the publishing
supply chain.
- Seybold
PDF Conference: September 10-12.
The Seybold PDF Conference addresses
the entire range of PDF applications,
technology developments, and best
practices. The conference will feature
a broad range of developers, publishers,
printers, designers, and IT experts
to share how smartly deploying PDF
can save organizations money. Companies
increasingly benefit from the power
of PDF, enabling them to efficiently
gather and exchange information. Included
in the conference is the PDF Summit,
which will feature the anticipated
PDF Shootout product and comparison
results from the first comprehensive
PDF survey which will be shared and
debated.

These are single-day seminars dedicated

how equipment vendors will be responsible
