Six
Degrees Software from Creo Set to Transform
the Creative Desktop
MACWORLD
SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- January 8, 2002
-- Creo Products Inc. (NASDAQ: CREO;
TSE: CRE) has launched Six Degrees(tm)
software, a new product for the creative
desktop that will dramatically improve
the way content creators and creative
professionals work. Everyone who reviews
and edits creative projects can benefit
from the way Six Degrees manages project-related
information.
Six
Degrees is a new type of application:
rather than replace existing tools,
it looks at the relationship between
files, messages and people and creates
connections. It presents the user with
all the information about a project,
regardless of where the project files
or messages are stored, and without
imposing a different way of working
on the user.
Quote
from Six Degrees
"Six
Degrees allows the user to move quickly
through the clutter of the desktop and
focus on the messages, files and people
that are connected and relevant to the
projects the user is working on. It
filters out everything else," explains
Mark Lemmons, Director, Creative Software
Group, Creo. "While most systems
force you to store related files in
a central repository, Six Degrees actively
makes connections for you as you work."
Availability
Six
Degrees operates cross-media, cross-platform
(Mac OS X and Windows), interacts with
all desktop applications through an
easy-to-use interface, and never limits
the user. Six Degrees will be released
at Macworld New York in July 2002 for
North American users at US$249. European
versions will follow in September 2002.
