Socrates XML software provides the benefits of XML database management with additional functionality for the development and integration of existing data and applications in a single platform. Using Socrates XML as a data manager allows you to reuse your existing data for new XML-based applications.

Among other features, Socrates XML has the ability to (1) develop an XML-based e-commerce solution from existing database systems, (2) create an XML database with real-time access to existing data, (3) bridge existing data and disparate databases, and (4) tag large quantities of non-XML data in XML.

It does this by simplifying document management, offering integration of multiple sources, and enhancing programmer productivity through automated XML tools. Cincom includes Sun's Forte(tm) for Java(tm), Community Edition product to provide development tools for Cincom's Socrates XML product, which helps to significantly simplify development of XML programs.
