IDEAlliance Offering Color Management Education for Content Creators
3-Part online series to relate critical steps in color management to the needs of content creators
[CHICAGO, IL - April 24, 2013] As the inaugural event in a new series of IDEASonline Training Programs, IDEAlliance® is presenting Color Management Basics for Content Creators, presented in three parts, June 7, 14, and 21. Presented by Bob Hallam, President, of PIXELOGIE, Inc., each of the 3-part series takes a 90-minute deep dive, exploring color management from the point of view of content creation, relating each color management topic to the overall print production process and the quality needs of content creators.
- In Part 1, June 7, 2013, Instrumentation: Introduction to Spectrophotometry, attendees will learn why using the right measurement tools are critical to hitting consistent color results and the importance of spectrophotometry.
- In Part 2, June 14, 2013, Choosing the Correct Color Space for Content Creation, attendees will learn the importance of color spaces and how great results at the end of a process can be derailed if the right choices are not made from the start.
- In Part 3, June 21, 2013, Proofing Best Practices: Hard & Soft Proofing and Viewing Conditions, attendees will learn how to choose between doing a hard or soft proof and the critical factors to consider, such as consistent viewing conditions and the ISO 12647-7 standard.
