In its 25th year, IDEAlliance DEER Foundation Announces New Luminaire Awards Recipients Industry Leaders to Be Honored at Gala Event April 15, 2013 in New York City (Alexandria, VA, December 7, 2012) Recognizing outstanding achievements in media production for the 25th year, IDEAlliance and its charitable arm, the Digital Enterprise Education & Research (DEER) Foundation, has announced the newest recipients of its prestigious Luminaire Awards.
The Luminaire Awards, recognizing outstanding achievements and personal dedication in media production, will be presented on April 15, 2013, at The Pierre Hotel in New York City. Representing the first class of honorees in 1988, Luminaire Award recipient Diane Romano, President & COO of HudsonYards, commented, ”The class of 2013 reaches back 25-years, where the Luminaire Awards continue the long tradition of recognizing the leaders among us. To-date, 126 professionals have been recognized for their achievements and dedication. These professionals are the backbone of our industry.”

About The 2013 Luminaire Awards Ceremony
The Luminaire Awards Ceremony is the “grassroots” Academy Awards® for media production. Since its inception in 1988, the media production community gathers in a gala event to honor its best. Recipients receive an award in the shape of a flame, specially commissioned and handcrafted, to represent the spark of each individual. The 2013 award recipients will be honored at the annual Luminaire Awards Ceremony at The Pierre New York on April 15, 2013. The evening will begin with a reception at 6:00 p.m., followed by a sit-down dinner and awards ceremony.
