Andy Robinson started ReportLab Inc. in January 2000 after a creer spanning finance, marketing and software development for blue-chip and financial companies. Four years ago he noted that the reporting and document generation tools in corporate IT were not keeping up with the web, and he resolved to do something about it. His company produces a range of commercial components generating dynamic PDF documents and data graphics from XML and other data sources, layered on top of a popular and full-featured Open Source PDF library.
