Phil Dickinson is the CEO of Aicom Limited, a UK based firm of software developers. Established in 1999, the main focus of Aicom's work has been in XML authoring systems and systems integration using XML. Client's for whom Aicom have developed XML based systems includes the Nokia Corporation in Finland and more recently, Applied Materials.Phil's own expertise in software stretches back to 1989 and includes DSP code for mathematical functions such as the FFT, multi-processor imaging software in C, 2D and 3D graphics display software, instrument control software, database work, voice recording software and the design of XML based document management systems.Phil has developed software on Windows, UNIX and Linux platforms and has experience using C, C++, COM/DCOM, Java, Oracle, SQL Server, XML & XSLT, various Application Servers and numerous other technologies. He describes himself as "platform neutral".Phil held various posts such as Senior Software Engineer and Software Development Manager before being inspired to set up his own company.
