Building XML Forms with PDF

Abstract

The business case for electronic forms is clear - better customer service and improved data capture. In this presentation, the speaker will describe how to build XML forms with PDF. He will examine the issues associated with developing XML forms, such as defining the elements for data capture and schemas, and will describe PDF support for different vertical vocabularies, including HL7 for healthcare, XBRL for financial services, ACORD for insurance and other industries. The session will demonstrate a practical standards-based method for designing XML forms that can operate across different platforms without imposing technology requirements or costs on the end-user.
