Abstract
This talk is based on work that was done for the "E-forms for egov pilot" initiative that was organized under the CIO Council's XML Web Services Working Group. We will examine practical methods for converting legacy PDF (in this case federal government form sf424 ) into and SVG format, and then look at a number of different options for enriching the content so that the form can be filled out interactively, but maintain fidelity to the original print format. This talk will have some technical points, but should appeal to the non-developer as well. No knowledge of SVG is required, but this talk will serve as an introduction to the SVG format.
