David Beckett is a technical researcher working on Semantic Web related development and deployment projects at the Institute for Learning and Research Technology, University of Bristol, UK. He has been developing, researching and deploying Internet research discovery systems since 1993. David has been a long-time member of the Dublin Core Initiative, worked on Dublin Core Metadata Element Set (DCMES) development and is the editor of the DCMES in RDF/XML document. David has participated on the W3C RDF Core Working Group since May 2001 and is the editor of the RDF/XML Syntax draft. He is the author of several free software/open source RDF systems including the Redland RDF application framework.
