Laurens van den Oever started his career in 1996 as a Java developer at one of the young and innovative dutch internet companies of that day. In the years to follow he specialized in highly generic standards based XML applications. Spring 2002 the dutch internet company Q42 hired him as a software architect for a new version of their WYSIWYG XML editor Xopus.
