SVG - Where Are We Now?

Abstract

The W3C SVG Working Group has made great progress since the release of the SVG 1.0 Recommendation in September 2000 to come up with two new revisions. SVG 1.1, a modularization of SVG 1.1 laying the basis to SVG Mobile and subsequent profiles, has been approved as a recommendation in January 2002. Meanwhile, the SVG Working Group has also undertaken work on SVG 1.2, the first specification to introduce new features to SVG 1.0 to futher empower content creators and software developers. This session will give you 10,000 ft. look at new features as well as technical details straight from the source of a Working Group member.
