Peter has headed, since its creation, the service responsible for information architecture and data standards in the European
Parliament. He is currently on sabbatical, doing private research and contractual work in the field of semantic interoperability.
He has been project manager for a series of EU-funded initiatives, including ParlML (to develop common vocabularies for parliamentary
work), MIReG ("Managing Information Resources for e-Government") and investigations into Topic Map technologies. His earlier
experience as an adviser on IT and communications strategy has honed his commitment to interoperability and public, open standards.
He writes and lectures extensively, in English and in French, in the European Union and North America. He is author of "Information
Architecture with XML", published by John Wiley & Sons.[Information Architecture]
