Bob Roberts leads the e-commerce research group in CARIS where his research interests have focused on the use of electronic commerce to support information sharing between trading partners and the design implications of integrating electronic commerce capabilities into existing information systems. His PhD was concerned with the use of e-commerce to support B2B collaborative relationships and recent research and consultancy activities cover a range of e-commerce funded research projects in the telecom, health, construction and electronic sectors. The major EU funded research project he is currently involved in, LAURA, investigates the application of ebXML to support adaptive zones for Inter-regional Electronic Commerce based on the concept of Request Based Virtual Organizations (RBVOs) and sector specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs). He is also currently course director for the MSc course in e-commerce in the School of Computing and Information Systems at Kingston University.
