What's New in WSDL 2.0?

Abstract

The Web Services Description Language (WSDL) is one of the key Web Services technologies. It is used to describe a remote Web Service. The description includes things such as the operations supported by the service, the message format and the protocol used for the communication. This information is used by the clients of the service to access and make use of the service. WSDL is currently being standardized by the W3C. This presentation will report on this work, and describe the new features that will be present in WSDL 2.0., for example inheritance, message exchange patterns or the new HTTP and SOAP bindings. The presentation will summarize the features that were in WSDL 1.1 and are no longer present in WSDL 2.0.
