Dan Winkowski is a Principal Information Systems
Engineer with the MITRE Corporation. Currently, Dan coordinates an
international team in the development of specifications and solutions for
modernizing military messaging and related workflow descriptions used for
command and control. His current interests involve information interoperability
solutions, XML messaging, and business process orchestration. Prior to joining
MITRE Dan spent nine years working in The Hague, The Netherlands. During this
period he supported various NATO commands in re-engineering business practices
and adopting Internet technologies, led development and systems integration
projects related to web portals and knowledge management, defined information
architectures, developed requirements for system acquisition programs, and
researched application of agent based information discovery. Dan received both
B.A. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from the State University of New York
at Buffalo.
