Dr. Bruce Sharpe is Corel’s Executive Vice-President, XML Content Solutions. With more than six years experience with XML and related technologies, Dr. Sharpe plays a critical role in driving strategies that establish Corel as a leading provider of enterprise-class content solutions.

Formerly Chief Technical Officer at SoftQuad Software Ltd., Dr. Sharpe was responsible for the company’s technology development activities and was highly successful in bringing the benefits of markup languages to the enterprise market. Dr. Sharpe has been instrumental in the creation of solutions based on XML since its inception, and has worked closely with the W3C during the creation of XML and related standards.

Dr. Sharpe holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of British Columbia. A frequent presenter and well published author, he is recognized as an authority on XML and related technologies.
