Abstract

A rich description mechanism is the key to highly-automated Web Services. The discovery of suitable services with vetted business and technical contracts can help human decision-makers rapidly match their needs to service providers. There is already a great deal of work in the area of standardizing these descriptions, from WSDL to UDDI to ebXML registry/repository. These specifications provide a vocabulary, and the quickest way to turn XML vocabularies into practical information systems is by using XML's companion from the W3C, Resource Description Framework(RDF). This session discusses how to use RDF for rapid implementation of Web services based on the emerging standards such as WSDL, UDDI and ebXML.
