Accessing Web Services on the Pocket PC - A Case Study

Abstract

New technologies such as Bluetooth and GPRS finally make it possible to take Web Services to mobile devices.

Using the combination of a Compaq iPAQ computer, a Bluetooth enabled phone and GPRS technology it is possible to utilize a Web Service from the Pocket PC. New converged devices will make this process even easier.

This case study explains the steps to develop a useful applicaton. The audience will learn more about the underlying technologies such as GPRS and Bluetooth as well as the availablility of tools on the Pocket PC platform.
