How Do You Ensure Success When You Plan a Metadata Implementation?

Abstract

The word "metadata" used to be relegated to academic and technical circles, Now it has now migrated into executive meetings about major company initiatives -- particularly those revolving around content and digital asset management. Metadata is now regarded as a key factor in the next round of productivity improvements organizations will achieve and in the organization's ability to monetize its content. But what does metadata mean in this context and what actual benefits will it bring to technical and business professionals? And if it is so important, how do you carefully plan for a successful implementation? This presentation will address these questions.
