Delivering Enterprise Web Services

Abstract

This paper introduces the Web Services concepts, differentiates between simple, compound and complex Web Services, and defines a scenario to understand its implications in enterprise-scale deployments on intra and inter enterprise collaboration, security, manageability and other qualities of service.

It discusses IONA Orbix (r) E2A (tm) Collaborate edition, a best-in-class distributed integration platform, unifying EAI, B2Bi and Web Service integration functionality, that is differentiated by service-oriented componentization, comprehensive standards support, deployment flexibility and enterprise class qualities of service.

Biography

Prakash Sinha is a Product Manager for IONA's Web Services Integration Platform, where he leads the team in the areas of security, communication and business standards, and internationalization efforts. Prior to joining IONA, Prakash was a Senior Software Designer for Tandem Computers, now Compaq, where he designed and implemented fault-tolerant software in the area of load balancing and massive parallelism. Prakash has over 12 years of experience and holds an MBA from Haas School of Business, U.C Berkeley and a BS in Electrical Engineering from BIT, India.
