Abstract:
The Shareable Courseware Object Reference Model (SCORM) standards group hopes its basis in XML will encourage not only cross-application but also cross-industry data interchange. However, the standards have been so broadly defined that compliance doesn't necessarily result in interoperability. An update on the status of the standard and it's potential for success or failure in the future and its impact on ROI will conclude the discussion.
