Simon Bain
Biography:
Simon is co-founder and CTO of TENdotZERO, developers of XML-based solutions that enable fast connectivity between disparate systems and keep legacy information fully accessible. Simon is focused on creating usable XML applications, one of which enables secure e-Voting, and was the first software of its kind in the world to be authorised for use across Interactive Digital TV. In addition, he helped create a Lloyds insurance policy for e-commerce risks, along with a risk assessment scoring mechanism. He has also consulted for some of the leading UK on-line banks, and for a number of UK local authorities, helping them integrate their applications for use across the Internet to comply with the recent UK e-government mandate. Prior to TdZ, Simon consulted for SoftQuad Europe for several years, providing customer integrations and XML expertise. He co-wrote and delivered the first UK training course on XML and EDI, followed by many others, including a 3-day XML introductory course for IBM.
