Biography:
Mark Little was a part of the core research team at the University of Newcastle where the first distributed object transaction system was developed. He worked on the definition of the OMG Object Transaction Service and authored the first available implementation of the standard. He cofounded Arjuna Solutions, a company specializing in transactional Java products, which was acquired by Bluestone Software. He later led the transaction teams at Hewlett Packard Corporation, where he was a Distinguished Engineer. Along with other colleagues, Mark spun out Arjuna Technologies from HP, and continues as their Chief transactions architect. He is active in the Java Community Process, OASIS, W3C and the OMG and is one of the authors (and editor) of the WS-CAF specifications.
