With XML, the flow of information and documents around the world has never been greater - with its robust and flexible format that enables sharing of data stored in multiple formats. As a result, XML is shrinking the global marketplace and opening doors to new markets that had previously been hindered by compatibility issues.
The last and arguably most important mile in reaching new markets, however, is often in localizing or tailoring communications to fit the particular audience, whether by translating languages to ensuring sensitivity to local nuances and culture. Without making a clear, resonating connection to customers - who are the source of all revenue - even the best products and services are worth little.
TRADOS, the worldwide leader in enterprise globalization solutions, will discuss trends in globalization technology and how XML fits into and enables this evolution.
Specifically, technological advances such as XML enable us to more closely tie together the many links in the complex globalization workflow. The flow of documents is no longer blocked by different or incompatible formats. Globalization solutions can also now better integrate with other key technologies, such as enterprise content management, needed to effectively manage the mountains of content in what can be a chaotic and complicated workflow.
TRADOS is the only solutions provider with the market power - since more people and organizations use our solutions than all other competitors combined - able to realize an ambitious vision: to create a common platform and technology standards to connect and optimize the fragmented globalization process. As a result, businesses are able to bring their products to market faster, speak with one voice, reduce associated costs - in short, accelerate their global business. XML is an integral enabling element of that vision.
