Proofing technologies and industry practices continue to advance.  In 2007 we saw support for proofing to the numbers for hard-copy proofs.    The  rapid shift to virtual proofing workflows is gathering even more steam.

In response to these pressures, IDEAlliance has certified more than 52 new hard copy proofing systems.  Three new substrates for publication and commercial output were added.  And new ICC profiles have been posted to support color management throughout the graphic arts supply chain.

After a year of research, IDEAlliance  is unveiling its new SWOP and GRACoL Monitor Proofing Systems Certification Programs.  Finally we can hold monitor proofing to the tight numeric standards we introduced for hard copy proofing systems in 2007  These new advances assure that we can reliably and confidently produce proofs that match the visual appearance of an image on press.
