PAQUET
(Paper Quality EDI Transaction)
GCA Standard 128-1995
GCA's PAQET represents the next generation
of EDI in the paper, printing, and publishing
industries. This transaction enables
printers to send paper performance information,
in the form of runnability and print
quality data, to their paper suppliers
for the mills’ statistical quality programs.
These electronic reports, cover good
as well as problem rolls or skids, help
paper companies improve their tracking
of paper performance with more detailed
data than available ever before. A GCA
working group chaired by Don Den Uyl
of Bowater Inc. and later by Larry Falstad
of Consolidated Papers developed PAQET.
