David J. Steinhardt is President and CEO of the International Digital Enterprise Alliance (IDEAlliance), a not-for-profit alliance for the media and publishing industries to advance best practices in creation, workflow, supply chain, and distribution – digitally and in print. IDEAlliance engages a unique convergence of the leading brands, publishers, printers, advertising agencies, suppliers and solutions providers within a user-driven, cross-industry, and open environment.
David began his career in the printing and publishing industries and association management as Director of Training for the Graphic Communications Association (GCA) – predecessor to IDEAlliance – in 1985 and rose to Chief Operating Officer. From 1990 onward he served in a management position at Printing Industries of American and then as CEO for North American Graphics Arts Suppliers Association (NAGASA) and National Association of Quick Printers (NAQP). Under his leadership IDEAlliance was presented the Best in Class – Corporate Business Achievement for Successful Business Partnership Award from the U.S. Postal Service in 2007. He is a recipient of the Graphic Arts, Print Media & Publishing Good Scout Award in 2008.
David earned his graduate degree in Public Administration at The George Washington University with honors and his undergraduate in history and education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Summa Cum Laude. He is a frequent speaker, presenter, and moderator at industry events.
