IDEAlliance has Strong Presence at Seybold New York

On February 20-22, IDEAlliance participated in the Seybold Conferences and Exposition at the Javits Center in New York City. IDEAlliance organized the XML Publishing Hot Technology Day. Dianne Kennedy, Chief Technical Consultant for IDEAlliance served as chair for the day.

XML Publishing Day was designed to provide publishers with the ability to employ critical new standards and technologies. This mini-conference was made up of presentations and panel discussions featuring leading publishers and tool providers who focus on how XML and related standards are changing the landscape of publishing. David Steinhardt, President of IDEAlliance provided opening comments.
	The XML Standards for Publishers panel provided a quick overview of the impact of XML and then quickly focuses on new developments within the XML family of standards. This panel featured the work of the IDEAlliance ICE and PRISM Working Groups and Adobe’s XMP (Extensible Metadata Platform) Specification.

In addition to hosting the XML Publishing Day, IDEAlliance had a presence on the show floor as well. In the IDEAlliance Booth, staff discussed membership benefits with show delegates. ICE and PRISM working groups provided demonstrations of their specifications in action!
