Alexandria, VA (September 17, 2020) – Idealliance is pleased to announce that New London, a commercial printing and marketing solutions company based in Alpharetta, GA, is the first to obtain G7® Master Facility Qualification using HP Indigo’s G7® AI Master Calibration Certified System.

In May, New London installed the world’s first HP Indigo 15K Digital Press. Using HP PrintOS® Color Beat powered HP Indigo, New London flawlessly achieved G7® Master Facility Qualification requirements in minutes vs. hours or days. This achievement is a leap forward in modern AI and Industry 4.0 aligned solutions.

“The Automated G7 Certification gives our customers the confidence that their color is accurate and repeatable over any given time,” said Eric Rountree, New London owner.

World’s First Idealliance G7® AI Master Calibration Certified System from HP Indigo Achieves G7® Master Facility Qualification at New London With a combination of superior inline spectrophotometry and intelligent G7® calibration inside the press, the critical features of an Idealliance G7® AI Master Calibration Certified System, G7® Master printers can now fully automate the calibration and submission process with these certified digital presses. This unique OEM based certification confirms an HP Indigo digital press is engineered to be the color expert.

“A key part of HP Indigo technology is the ability to differentiate through top quality and accurate color,” said Haim Levit, Vice President and General Manager, HP Indigo. “With the new HP Indigo G7 AI Master Calibration System we are proud to take this to an unprecedented level of confidence and automation, for the benefit of HP Indigo converters and the brands they serve.”

More importantly, with just a few touch points, print service providers like New London can quickly conform to buyer and brand G7® requirements without the added cost of wasteful proofing and correction cycles, time-consuming press checks, or third-party solutions. G7® is the most recognized and widely used specification in the printing industry used by brands worldwide and assures consistent color matching, regardless of ink or substrate.

“Brands, creatives, and print buyers have raised the bar for color accuracy and consistency and expect nothing short of excellence, transparency, and communication. Together, HP Indigo and New London have advanced the industry utilizing modern artificial intelligence and G7,” said Michael Grady, Vice President of Global Partnerships, Idealliance.
